NEVAR FORGET 18/09/2010 RAID THE MAIDS
Weaboos and otakus living in the frequently second-handed state of Sabah has finally something to be proud of: the opening of the first maid cafe in East Malaysia.
Situated in the recently completed (and rather haphazardly constructed) Star City, Kirameki Cafe, typical of any maid cafes out there, serves extravagantly priced consumables but at a level reasonable enough to warrant a stopover. Of course, the novelty of being served by waitresses wearing maid outfits offsets this, evidenced by the willingness of the author himself (and other hiveminded zealots) to become one of the cafe’s facially recognizable patrons.
Those with keen interest in throwing away their hard-earned pocket money for short-lived yet memorable gimmicks can visit Kirameki Cafe at the following address/location:
