Because Zakus are overrated space nazi tin cans.

So it has been a year since I last touched (quite literally) 3D Custom Girl. Not that I ran out of ideas (or mods), but more because my old Asus X51RL laptop would start choking up to the point of unplayable everytime there’s more than seven objects on screen. You gotta be piss drunk or piss mad toying around in Pose Mode at 2-3FPS.

Fortunately, owning a brand-new laptop has given me a good reason to restart the good ol’ habit of creepily toying with nonexistant cel-shaded chicks for hours behind closed curtains.

I also began to vigorously unpack more than 6 gigs of unopened mods from previous Torrent downloads and found not only a significant amount of contents that fell under my DO WANT category, but most notably of course Gundam mods.

There were craploads of Zeon mods that I generally despise as there are dozens of em’; largely newer updates to existing Zaku mods found earlier (much bandwidth wasted on Torrenting for more of the same). I waited forever for an EFSF mod and all I got is more goddamn Zakus rivalling the numbers stationed on A Boa Qu.

After a few thorough lurking around the links (I think it’s somewhere here, forgot the actual link) found in the readme files supplemented with every mods nets me a mod for this underepresented mobile suit.

Unlike other Gundam mods for 3D Custom Girl, the modder who made this has apparently taken artistic liberty by reinterpreting the looks of the GM to something more suited to the ‘nature’ of 3DCG, and that means more skin. Not that I’m complaining…

Personally, I think the modder’s interpretation bear some semblance to the style of Shimada Humikane, hence I appropriately call it a mecha musume.

Couple this mod with the battle effects mod and you’ll have a justified reason to wear multiple sunglasses at once.

Two more Gundam mods that I unpacked has the awesome GP03 Dendrobium and RGM-79SP GM Sniper Custom (hey Bandai, where’s mah HGUC 1/144?) mod which will be featured in upcoming 3DCG post. I’m still missing a good space background though.
