Future Force Warrior is a technological demonstration project developed as a part of Future Combat Systems. The program aims to integrate information technology and the common infantry, increasing their combat efficiency through better situational awareness.
In Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, the FFW gear is seen equipped on the Ghost Recon team during a mission to suppress an ongoing coup in Mexico on 2013.
Other companies like Soldier Story have made this particular type of gear on their boxed figure sets, but unfortunately lacking the futuristic helmet. Is it too hard to ask for just the helmet to complete the looks? Fortunately, Very Hot seems to have a good pair of ears and delivers exactly what 1/6 kitbashers want.
While true that many of the set’s gears and clothings have jagged plastics, excess threads, and some parts may fell off straight out of the box, it’s really nothing that a modelling knife, scissor, and superglue won’t fix. That’s kitbashing for ya.
Some of the lesser quality parts have been replaced with better alternatives. The crappy molded boots been changed to the more OPERATOR Merrell boots by Crazy Dummy. While there’s nothing too bad about the FN SCAR that came with the set (it’s quite decent), I still prefer Hot Toys’ SCAR better.
Unfortunately, I’m dedicating most of my resources on kitbashing Task Force 141 during their mission in Brazil. To make up for the lack of Ghost Recon kitbash, I promise my TF141 kitbash won’t disappoint.
