Hobbycon 2009
Gearing up for an awesome event.

Hobbycon is an annual event held in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, a state located on the Eastern Peninsula of Malaysia.

Hobbycon’s main objective is:
1. Showcase new or uncommon hobbies / various games to the public.
2. Create Awareness for these hobbies.
3. A place for hobby enthusiasts to gather.
4. Engage and educate the public about the benefits of these hobbies.
5. Be a platform for young aspiring hobby enthusiasts to showcase their talent in their respective hobbies.

This time, Hobbycon was held in City Mall on the 12th and 13th of December because the jackasses in Asia City, the original venue where Hobbycon was born, built a goddamn hockey rink in the middle of the venue. I’ll spare you the rest of the boring details. Let’s jump straight to the pics, shall we?

Fellow comrade Moebius (1/1 scale person sitting at the center) guarding the outpost with my 1/6 men. This is one of the farthest garrison ever established by my platoon.

Hobbycon 2009
The platoon size committed for this special ops is 17 men, a mere five more men than last year.

Hobbycon 2009
My platoon were unable to link up with Nerdpride’s company due to communication disruption caused by ECM. Going alone and coming back alive ain’t easy.

1st SFOD Delta doing what they do best: spewing lead and taking names. Also seen on the left is a Navy SEAL Mk. 14 Marksman.

Hobbycon 2009
Left to right: 5th SFG “Ghost Recon”, 3rd Infantry Division, 1st SFG ODA.

Hobbycon 2009
Left to right: Private Military Contractors, 75th US Army Ranger “Larry”, Marine Force Recon.

Hobbycon 2009
No special ops would be complete without deploying the elite Black Ops.

Hobbycon 2009
Left to right: 1st SFOD-D “Stryker”, Rainbow Six Operative (Urban), British SAS.

Girls seem to dig this figure the most. Can’t seem to keep their cameraphones from getting too close with this guy.

Hobbycon 2009
The man himself. Too bad the stuff I ordered from Hong Kong didn’t all arrive in time. My OPERATOR cosplay was missing a SAW pouch and a dummy comm. radio.

OMFG Bill!

Hobbycon 2009

To the right of my booth is a paintball booth that also carries all kinds of tacticool gears. Too bad I’m not so much of a paintball person.

Hobbycon 2009

Hobbycon 2009

I was taking a rest after a mad minute then suddenly, perverted lecher Bakayaro_87 popped outta nowhere and demanded only the finest lolis I could spare to him. He forgot that the safety on the P90 is on, and thus I successfully blocked his attempted extortion with a melee attack.

Last but not least….

Santa (who is rather slender this time of the year) wasn’t choking Charlotte. That chick is from the other FF7 group, whose name eludes me at the moment.
