Originally meant to be a Ghost Recon Operator kitbash, I decided to exercise a lot more ‘artistic license’ by reimagining the Ghost as a far less classified special forces group, with more conventional, and less futuristic equipment. Not like that matters much anyway, considering how GRAW 2 skewed (and screwed) everything up so laughably.
Although not visible from the outside, this operator is currently wearing the Army Combat Shirt (ACS). The ACS features breathable fabric and protection against burn injuries, a crucial feature due to increasing fatalities caused by IEDs.
The IOTV, or Improved Outer Tactical Vest, is a successor to the previous Interceptor Body Armor. It features better protection via increased coverage on vital areas. Airflow is also improved through the use of mesh inner cover. As with today’s body armor, the IOTV is capable of stopping 7.62 x 39mm fired from an AK-47 with ceramic plate inserts on the front and back.
The FN SCAR assault rifle carried by the operator is equipped with a sound suppressor and a FN40 Grenade Launcher.
The M1911 MARSOC is a revised version of the venerable M1911A1. It’s commonly used by various branches of the Marine Corps and other US special forces.
Firing the heavier .45 ACP, the M1911 is legendary for its impressive stopping power.

BTW, in case you don’t get why the Ghosts are called 5th SFG, Tom Clancy based the Ghost on the real 5th Special Forces Group, hence the naming.
