Cops arrest schoolboys for raping 13yr-old girl
MIRI: The police went into a school in Bintulu town in northern Sarawak to arrest two 14-year-olds suspected of raping a 13-year-old student from the same school.
The Form Two students were arrested Friday following a police report lodged by the Form One girl.
The alleged rape was said to have occurred during school hours inside the compound of the school on Thursday.
“We have placed the two suspects under arrest pending further investigations,” said Bintulu Police Chief Supt Sulaiman Abdul Razak.
“We have also referred the girl to the hospital for a medical examination. I cannot reveal more details for now,” he said.
It is believed that in her report, the girl said she was attacked by the two boys while she was walking around the school.
She claimed the two teenagers had dragged her into an isolated place behind the main office building and school block, where they took turns to rape her.
