More than a week ago, some more shipment of goodies came from Singapore, all bought and sent from The Falcon’s Hangar.

Having grown tired of wearing the obselete PASGT vest and carrying the plain vanilla Stoner SR15 for the past three and a half years, Duane decides that it’s time to pay his local armory a visit and have himself re-armed and re-geared with something more suitable to his role as a trained urban combat and CQB specialist.

Much better. This is my first military action figure that is not a redo (i.e more of the same with added gears) nor does its theme related or affiliated to any military groups or special forces out there. In fact, I’d say, this is my first non-themed kitbash. Since it’s currently without any particular theme, this does open up a potential as a possible sci-fi teambash in the future, considering the type of weapons and gear he’s equipped with. Now, if only I have a credit card or a Paypal account, it would’ve come in handy for places like Echo Base Toys and War Toys. (T_T)

A close-up view of the grenade pouches carried behind him. Originally, I wanted him to have a HK G36K with a grenade launcher attachment as his primary weapon. However, due to financial complications with my action figure budget as well as preparations for an upcoming trip to Kuala Lumpur and have myself a blast of a time with year-end shopping, I had to delay my purchase until as early as next year (January 2007 maybe). I spotted a carded set of GI Joe’s G36 with interchangeable parts in Action Figure 2002. For the time being, I’ll just settle with a G36C from World Weapon Collection.

Duane’s armament. A HK G36C from WWC attached with a scope taken from Very Hot SDU MP5. The pistol is a HK P7M13 with an extended barrel. Made by Intoys, it features an interactive pistol slide that slides back into position when pulled.

This is where it gets fun: taking pictures of my action figure while messing around with a laser pointer/illuminator in near-total darkness.
